Pivot Strategies made self-care our top priority this year and the results speak for themselves

Pivot Strategies has experienced double-digit growth since its inception and we aren’t slowing down!

While the past two years imposed many uncharted obstacles across all sectors of industry, they also provided opportunities for some companies to innovate and grow. As one of the latter, Pivot experienced its most significant growth over the past two years.

In 2022, we prioritized team self-care as we navigated amazing growth

✔️Our HR and Talent Acquisition Team expanded employee benefits and hired 21 world-class communications and change athletes

🌟 Pivot hired Erin Heitkamp as Senior VP of Operations

With more than 20 years of experience driving operational and sustainability initiatives across multiple industry sectors, Erin will turn Pivot’s bold visions into actionable achievements that continue to realize the company’s goals.

📈 Revenue growth rate of 191%

Ask any leader and they’ll tell you growth is hard. Pivot sustained tremendous growth this year, and invested growth profits back into our team through new and improved benefits. 

👥 55% team growth

🌎 Team members across 4 different states

At Pivot, we prioritize flexibility for our employees so they can be their best selves in and outside of work. Currently, the Pivot team is working from the East Coast to the West Coast while maintaining our global headquarters in Minnesota. 

💡 132 new projects worked on

Not only did we expand our team, but Pivot expanded our client base as well, generating 132 new projects. After each project concludes, we survey client satisfaction and this year Pivot consultants received an average NPS score of 9.67 (out of 10).  

🫂 Employees took 493 hours of self-care time

At Pivot, our #1 core value is that self-care is non-negotiable. We are proud to say that our team lived that value in 2022, taking time for themselves and their well-being. 

🫶 Pivot formed our IDEA Committee 

We created the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity + Advocacy) team to identify opportunities and set goals where we can #BeTheChange we wish to see in the world.

Extraordinary growth and positive company culture rarely go unnoticed. Pivot successes are no exception. This year, Pivot received numerous accolades and was recognized by respected local and global publications.

🏆 Debuting at No. 10 on Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50 List

An exclusive ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the Twin Cities, this marks the first year that Pivot Strategies has made the Fast 50 list with a revenue growth rate of 178.25% from 2019 to 2021.

🏆 Debuting at No. 1,967 on Inc. 5000 List

The Inc. 5000 list is the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Pivot achieved this feat through demonstrated resilience and massive growth amid supply chain woes, labor shortages, and the ongoing impact of COVID-19.

🏆 Twin Cities Business 2022 Notable Women Entrepreneurs 

Founder and CEO, Stacia Nelson has doubled revenue and team growth year over year since launching Pivot Strategies in 2015. In 2020, while many businesses recorded losses, Pivot’s revenue grew 68%. That year, Stacia donated 23% of revenue to nonprofits and community organizations helping her to secure this recognition.

The Women in IT Summit & Awards Series recognizes and celebrates women, allies and organizations across the USA for their outstanding contributions to the technology industry. For the second year in a row, Stacia was shortlisted for this recognition. We attended the summit and event and made powerful connections with other female leaders in IT. 

🏆 Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal Best Place to Work

Last but not least, this is the award we’re most proud of this year. Pivot is trying things differently in an attempt to revolutionize internal communications. As the company continues to experience massive maturation, Pivot has funneled a large portion of those profits back into the team via profit sharing, 401K matches, in addition to continuing to offer a highly competitive benefits structure that includes unlimited PTO, self-care initiatives and work flexibility.
