The Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal Recognizes Pivot Strategies as 2022 Best Places to Work
Pivot Employees Surveyed by the Business Journal Respond with Top Scores for the Agency, Securing its Recognition on the Coveted List
MINNEAPOLIS (June 7, 2022) — Pivot Strategies announced today they have been named one of 2022’s Best Places to Work by the Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ).
Pivot Strategies CEO and founder Stacia Nelson is ecstatic over Pivot’s recognition and is proud to see the agency’s unique employee-first culture having such a meaningful impact. “I’m grateful the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal chose us for this esteemed award. It is challenging to achieve – and for good reason. It is a reflection of a team’s voice – an important and often undervalued voice. I’m humbled and thrilled that the culture we’ve built is one that our team values.”
“Seven years ago on the heels of a corporate layoff, I searched for a company to join that was centered on employee well-being, balance and trust. When I couldn’t find it, I started Pivot. As a business focused on helping other companies engage their teams, culture is key for us,” Nelson remarked.
In the past year, Pivot has doubled its number of world-class internal communication and organizational change management consultants – and infinitely grew its expertise. The team’s highly sought-after skills have solidified Pivot’s reputation for increasing corporate employee engagement while successfully navigating complex change projects in a way that enhances its clients’ culture. As the company continues to experience massive maturation, it has funneled a large portion of those profits back into the team via profit sharing, 401K matches, in addition to continuing to offer a highly competitive benefits structure which includes unlimited PTO.
“We are trying to do things differently at Pivot – create a different kind of culture, a different employee experience, a new way of living and working in harmony. This acknowledgement of our culture and fierce loyalty to our employees certainly recognizes that what we’re doing is indeed working,” said Stephanie Joranson, Pivot’s VP of Talent + Client Services. “I know that by being unapologetically authentic to ourselves, our core values and to each other, we will inspire others to do the same.”
This year marks the 24th annual Best Places to Work awards for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. It’s the Twin Cities’ longest-running awards program recognizing great workplaces. With unemployment rates at historic lows across the country, creating an engaging, inclusive workplace is critical to attracting and retaining top talent. This year, MSPBJ identified 70 employers in the region doing just that.
To determine the Best Places to Work, nominations are sought from companies in the Twin Cities region. Independent research partner, Quantum Workplace, distributes surveys to all Minnesota-based employees of those nominated companies. Employees are asked to rate their employers on a variety of topics including management, communication and more. Quantum tabulates the scores from those confidential surveys to identify the 70 honorees.
Pivot Strategies, along with the other 2022 honorees, will be featured in the Business Journal’s August 12 Best Places to Work special edition, as well as online.
