Award-winning women-owned company announces an all-star, all women leadership team on the heels of significant growth

MINNEAPOLIS (February 22, 2023) — Pivot Strategies, an internal communications and change management consultancy, announced Stephanie Joranson as president. Joranson, previously the Vice President of Client Satisfaction and Talent, joined Pivot Strategies in early 2021 and has been instrumental in building a people-centric culture and delivering excellence for clients. Prior to joining Pivot, Joranson led internal communications for Medtronic and employee engagement for major brands at Weber Shandwick.

“Stephanie was an incredible addition to our team more than two years ago. Her empathetic, positive leadership style, ability to exceed client expectations and engage her team played a significant role in scaling our business while maintaining a strong culture,” said Stacia Nelson, Founder and CEO.

“I’m excited to step into this new leadership role and continue Pivot’s positive growth trajectory,” said Joranson. “And I am incredibly proud of our all-women leadership team and the culture we have built. While other companies face talent retention challenges, our culture remains strong and our team is growing.”

In addition, Krysta Larson was promoted to Vice President of Growth and Erin Heitkamp will continue as Senior Vice President of Operations. Pivot made these leadership changes to prepare for the next phase of growth.

Pivot Strategies has seen steady growth since its inception with a track record of doubling in revenue and headcount year-over-year. The company saw 178% revenue growth rate from 2019 to 2021 and 85% from 2021 to 2022, landing the company on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies list and debuting on the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50 List at No. 10.

The team has grown from 17 employees in 2020 to 40 in 2022. And, the growth didn’t come at the cost of culture. In addition to making the Inc 5000 and Fast 50 lists, Pivot also achieved its first Best Places to Work recognition in 2022 and their first core value is self-care.
