This year’s recognition marks Pivot’s third appearance on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list and reflects the enduring strength of a culture that has continued to evolve through growth and change. Pivot Strategies is one of twelve Twin Cities based companies to receive this year’s honor.
Pivot founder and CEO Stacia Nelson sees this year’s recognition as especially meaningful because it reflects the experiences of the people who have helped shape the company’s next chapter.
“This recognition means a great deal to me because it comes directly from our team. The past few years have brought change, challenges, and a lot of learning. Those experiences challenged us to become more intentional about the culture we are building. Through it all, our people have continued to show up for one another and for our clients with integrity, resilience, and heart.
I am incredibly grateful for the trust they’ve placed in us, for the grace they’ve extended along the way, and for the role each person has played in helping us build something stronger together,” said Nelson.
Chief Operations Officer Bruce Johnson has been instrumental in guiding Pivot’s evolution over the past two years.
“One of the lessons I’ve learned throughout my career is that successful organizations are built on more than strategy, processes, or results—they are built on people. When individuals feel valued, challenged, and fulfilled, they bring their best selves to their work, their teams, and their clients. This recognition is a reflection of the culture our team has created together, and I’m grateful to be part of an organization that invests so deeply in its people,” said Johnson.
Together, Nelson and Johnson believe this recognition reflects the team’s commitment to supporting and challenging one another while delivering exceptional results for clients.
The award process involved a detailed employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, covering critical elements such as management effectiveness, perks, professional development, and overall company culture. Each company’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.
For Pivot, this recognition is particularly meaningful because it reflects the experiences and perspectives of the people who make our work possible every day. As a people-centered consulting firm, we believe our ability to help clients navigate change begins with creating an environment where our own team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
The experience has reminded us that great cultures aren’t built through growth alone, but through trust, character, resilience, and the willingness to support one another through challenges.
