Stacia Nelson is the Founder of Pivot Strategies. Stacia brings over 15 years of experience in Public Relations and Communications with Fortune 100 brands. She earned her Prosci change management certification and specializes in creating unique and tailored communications strategies to deliver messages to a variety of stakeholders. Prior to founding Pivot Strategies in 2015, Stacia led the Crisis and Corporate Communications Team for Target Corporation where she was responsible for the company’s preparedness and response to reputation and crisis situations and corporate brand partnerships.
Impact drives Becca. She is passionate about KPIs and process, but is also an incredible communicator and storyteller. Becca’s ability to create compelling campaigns and tell a sticky story help make Pivot’s work so effective. The same applies for her ability to set and track goals for projects that are traditionally hard to measure.
Stephanie brings more than 15 years of experience to the Pivot team, where she leads our efforts to bring in the best talent to give our clients the best service. Stephanie has both corporate and agency experience and a diverse background in all areas of communications strategy. But what she’s most passionate about is employee engagement. She led internal communications for Medtronic where she launched their global intranet on Office 365 for more than 90,000 employees.
Anna is a versatile communications expert driven by a passion for collaborating, writing and driving eciencies. With over 10 years of experience in Communications, Anna is successful in delivering strategic solutions by performing needs analysis, organizing resources and building constructive relationships. She is always excited to jump in, learn quickly and achieve results.
Cathy brings more than 30 years of experience to the Pivot team, including running her own communications consulting business for the past 18 years. Previously she worked in web consulting, corporate and agency roles. Cathy’s broad expertise includes over a decade leading CSR projects – a skill she’s now putting to use as Pivot’s CSR communications lead. She is a strategic, versatile communicator adept at delivering corporate, internal and marketing communications solutions across a variety of industries.
Christy Warner enjoys tackling complex communications challenges. She has a broad range of experience in public relations, corporate communications and marketing roles in financial services and health care, working with brands such as UnitedHealth Group, ADP, Transamerica, Delta, the Federal Reserve Banks and the United States Treasury Department.
Conlan brings a mix of corporate and agency experience to Pivot, where he strives to help clients meet their communications objectives and bridge the gap between them and their audiences. Conlan’s background runs the gamut of communications strategy, but he is most passionate about communications technology and efforts to create a more modern workforce.
Kate specializes in the development and implementation of strategic communication, training and change management plans to help clients achieve success. She partners closely with organizations to understand their needs by actively engaging business partners and key stakeholders. Kate brings eight years of experience, most of which was spent working on IT, Office 365, Med Device and SAP projects.
Mackenzie brings her curiosity and tenacity to the Pivot team. Being a planner and organizer at heart, she thrives when planning events, managing internal marketing tasks and coordinating client deliverables. At Pivot, she runs all team and corporate events, the monthly newsletter and helps a variety of clients with communications, content management and any other marketing initiatives.
Maggie has 14 years of communications experience, including 11-years at Target Corporation impacting internal communications in over 1,800 stores. Maggie is a puzzle-master – she can take pieces of everything you give her and fit it together into a cohesive project and communication plan. Her unique skill set led her to work in corporate America, fundraising, higher education, project management, event planning and the nonprofit space.
Pang Lee is a Communications Consultant for Pivot. She has over 10 years of experience working in IT in a variety of roles ranging from project management and process improvement to internal IT communications. She has delivered IT projects and improvements for Target Corporation, increased employee morale and engagement for MoneyGram International and supported IT communication efforts for the State of Minnesota. Her technical experience combined with her communications skills is what makes her an effective partner in working with IT and business audiences.
Tonya brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications for several Fortune 250 companies across a variety of industries including aerospace, financial services, healthcare, logistics and food and agriculture. Through her work, she has a passion for simplifying the complex. She’s a versatile team player who enjoys working on a variety of communications projects.
Alyssa has spent her career leading key global change transformations within organizations. A Prosci certified Change Management Practitioner, Alyssa’s core belief is that organizations transform most effectively when they focus on their individual employees. Her mission is to support leaders and the organization to enable each employee to drive successful transformations and increased adoption. She brings experience from many industries, such as medical devices, healthcare, finance, retail and consumer products.
Tom has more than 20 years of experience in business and helps Pivot with finance and human resources. Tom spent most of his career as a lobbyist for Minnesota businesses, specializing in tax and labor policy. He enjoys working with Pivot’s leadership to keep the finances on track.
Bailey is our in-house relationship builder, connection maker and talent manager. She manages the recruiting, hiring, onboarding and everything in-between for our team. Her passion is building and growing teams that align with the culture and values of Pivot. Before her life at Pivot, Bailey has worked exclusively in recruiting, employee engagement and human resources in a variety of industries and company sizes. A natural people person, she has spent her career connecting with others, understanding their personal and professional goals and matching them to their perfect role.
Maren is a designer of graphics, solutions, stories and experiences. As Creative Lead at Pivot, she believes that good design is born from even better design thinking. Maren has over a decade of nonprofit and communications experience that she brings to every project, with specific strengths in branding systems, print and web design, exhibit design and storytelling. She sees her role as a creative professional as more than just “making things look pretty,” and instead brings her systems-thinking to every project. Leading a team of creatives, she strives to support the needs of clients and colleagues alike, and is energized by collaborative creative work.
Wil brings 10+ years working in the creative field to Pivot, with expertise in print and digital media. Originally from Wisconsin, this Milwaukee native came to Minnesota to study graphic design at the University of Minnesota. Wil specializes in branding, providing complete identity needs including logo and web design, marketing materials, social media development and brand voice. A strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace, Wil regularly develops internal wellness campaigns to assist employees with effective mental health techniques.
Madison is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she majored in Strategic Communications. Madison has both internship and freelance experience in design and communications, and personal experience building her own website, publishing a book and producing her podcast. She is an outside-the-box creative thinker who takes a detailed approach to each unique project.
Audrey is an award-winning, accredited business communicator delivering integrated strategic communications plans, smart execution and outstanding results. She has 20 years of experience leading local and global teams to success. She began her career in marketing communications and public relations but fell in love with internal communications. Her range of experience includes leading a cross-functional team for a national product rollout to leading all aspects of communications for global mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, crisis situations, large reorganizations, employee engagement, executive communications and management/union or works council relations.
